IBM / Samsung and Bitcoin

It’s easy to imagine that every connected device will have its intelligence in the cloud, but that’s a costly model for many connected devices that are expected to live for decades and cost little. Add in security and privacy fears and the model seems broken. Paul Brody from IBM has a new idea. Using block chain to manage some of this cost and complexity. Speaker: Paul Brody — VP and North America Leader, Mobile and Internet of Things, IBM; Moderated by Caroline McCrory — Senior Director of Product Development, Gigaom Research.

Paul Brody has a husband? lol. I like how he casually slips that in.

The fact that IBM and Samsung are going to showcase how they can use the blockchain in everyday tasks is big!

Sounds like they're basically going to fork it like others have and build their own stuff and as usual the journalists posting it completely misunderstood what he said lol Tongue

I'm all for people utilizing the blockchain technology. I just hope that the masses real;ise it's potential other than a currency and payment system too.
