I'm not particularly arsed about this account. I would be arsed if I was using it for trading on here or building up a specific reputation, but all I use it for is nattering.
Having said that people do seem to be using more established accounts for scamming so I wouldn't sell it, even though mine doesn't have any rep to abuse.

1000BTC I could retire on that quite comfortably. Depends how old you are and how good you are with money . even that amount of money could possibly not last that long if you've got no other income. Just a question have people actually sold their accounts for money? Yes. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=812004.0The Sr and Hero accounts can get good money for signature campaigns. There's also the angle of using a trusted account to scam if you're of an evil bent.

You can scam from any account though so I'd be very weary around here if you don't want to get scammed.

@gentlemand Yes, in the digital goods forum there are many threads of people selling accounts lol. But others will sometimes give you negative trust if they catch you selling your account.

There is another question I've always had was how does one obtain a trust rating in the positive? Like what do you need to do for people to give you that kind of trust rating?

^ I think you need to receive positive trust from someone who is on the default trust. I don't know if any other positive trust will do that.

Exactly this. You need to get feedbacks from the people on this list https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust

Or help them out with something so they see I'm a legit person not in this to scam or rip people off? I'm just so sick and tired of scammers and the bullshit that is allowed to occur with Crypto ya know what I mean

Well... I'm not very famous around here, so losing this account wouldn't mean too much for me. But I would sell at a ridiculous price to someone like a fanatic of Final Fantasy Tactics that likes this simple singing Dark Knight GIF and because of the age of my account and I'm almost a legendary.

I'm going to assume that you have a higher rank account, because selling a Newbie account would be quite simple. What tends to be the going rate for selling accounts, does anyone know?

I've been in talks on it... the account has a lot of *potential* value, but it's value I have to "co-produce" with, which I don't have enough time for, now, or seem to have enough focus for. Still, the worry's there that the account might be mis-used if sold, and I feel an obligation to ensure that doesn't happen. If I knew it wouldn't be mis-used, there wouldn't necessarily be a "finality" associated with it, if I could later buy it back if I wanted without the account being molested.

/start rant/ Nope. Never. And stop with the random emails about 'buying your account' too please. I've been getting offers on my account during my hiatus, and seriously I'm not even considering that for any amount of money. Especially when my real life ID, PGP, and personal dealings are tied to it. /end rant/
