Saturday's Let's Talk Bitcoin (156) had a very interesting interview with Ben Doernberg about the "Alex Green"/Ryan Kennedy/Ryan Gentle controversy behind the Moolah (and Mintpal) collapse.

I found it so interesting that I made a video by taking portions of the interview and splicing in video from the infamous Skype call last Spring that Doernberg had with "Alex" and Landon of Moolah and Jackson Palmer from the Dogecoin foundation. (I even broke down and made a youtube account so I could post it. I feel like I've sold out to the Google machine.)

Hope you enjoy it. I'm not involved with any of the parties. The whole story was just such a car crash I couldn't look away. I also kind of suspect we haven't heard the last of "Alex"/"Ryan."

I think it's disgusting tbh.

This is why we must back up our wallets, keep a copy of our private keys, we must be responsible for our BTC to stop scumbags like this fleecing us.

The Moolah guy is a 1 st class bastard no doubt.  The more power over your BTC you have the better we are all off.

Because BTC is so anonymous it may be difficult, I'd be absolutely fuming.

In this case Alex Green/Ryan Kennedy/Ryan Gentle has a face that's becoming quite famous. Hopefully he'll get punished for this scam. He's apparently been a scammer for a very long time.

The original questions about him came out 6 months ago. It's weird to me that anyone was still doing business with him or had funds on Moolah (or Mintpal once Moolah took it over).

We all need to make each other aware of any doubts we have about any site/wallet holding BTC.
Things like this can be avoided to an extent.

I agree. What's particularly disturbing in this case is how people did make their doubts known and too many other people (including Moolah investors) defended the scammer. I don't know what more could've been done in this case.

Apparently now the guilty moderators of the forums are deleting posts about people issuing their opinions on justifiable retribution and punishment for alex green.

Maybe they have more then 'no issuing threats of violence of physical harm' clause that motivates them to do so

Many people should be prepared to get their mouth cleaned and put in their place in the near future. Let's hope some people here are ready to face the consequences of their actions. They are certainly not anonymous.
