I got my test deposit.

I got involved with this, because I let my 13 year old son use my Paypal account to convert some of his btc to purchase a video game.  When the charge back occurred, I went to my son and said I am now $30 negative in my account and who knows when this will get resolved.  We came up with two options: 1) pay me now or 2) pay me once this is all over and we are reimbursed, but since time is money, there will be interest due.

He didn’t want to pay interest so he paid me in full (with some of his Cognitive Mining Stocks- before they shot up in value- lucky me Grin).

Discussing this situation with my son, we have talked about what he would do in the same situation.  I pointed out how some of these guys have pretty big amounts tied up, and in the bitcoin world, a lot can happen in a short amount of time.  And that time is money.

He said he would 1) Empty out his bank account.  2) Sell some his belongings 3) Get a loan from a family member or friend 4) Get another job or expand out what he does with Bees Brothers to pay off the loan as fast as he could.

I was glad he recognized that his savings account was now in reality other people’s money.  And that the purpose of a savings account is for helping you get out of bad situations when they occur.

My son also said that “TangibleCryptography was really cool and that we should send them a box of honey caramels as thanks for helping everyone”.

So Tangible Team I will send you a box of honey caramels next week.  Thanks.

I agree with BurtW.   All debts are of equal seniority, so every dollar received in repayment will be split based on the % owed.  "KISS"

All creditors should verify their repayment address.  The table above has SHA-256 hashes of the repayment address provided by TheBitMan.

Here is an SHA-256 calculator (you can use another one SHA-256 output should always be the same).
http://www.xorbin.com/tools/sha256-hash-calculator

Take the address you provided TheBitMan and hash it.  Remember trailing spaces, tabs, carriage returns, etc all are "values" in a hash input.  Be sure to copy only the exact address with no additional spaces.    The % column shows the % each creditor will get from a payment.  (i.e. on a $500 repayment the first creditor would get 25.360% * $500 = $126.80).  The payment amount will be convert to BTC based on MtGox last at the time bitcoins are transfered to the creditors.

Tomorrow I will be sending a test tx of 0.01 BTC split to all creditors by their share.  The amount indicated is the amount you should receive if everything is done correctly.

If all 13 creditors do the following each payment should be quick and easy:
1) Verify the hash of your address matches the hash in the list.
2) Verify the amount owed matches the amount you are owed.
3) (Tomorrow) verify the amount you receive from the test tx matches the amount listed above.

Verified - I received 0.00090415.  Amount owed is correct.

So a heads up I have only received verification of the test deposit from:
D&T
BCB
BurtW
Philj
chungenhung
smyl
Bees Brothers
nckrazze
Littleshop
xxaudioxx
RandomQ
AndyG

That is 12 of 13 creditors.

The list I have from TheBitMan has PayPal names, amount, and repayment addresses so I can't determine which address is used by the missing creditor.

Given 1 creditor couldn't follow instructions I will need everyone who hasn't to send me a PM with their deposit address & amount.
If you already did this (roughly half have) then I don't need it again.

Confirmed TheBitMan did deposit $500 today.  Since one of the thirteen creditors hasn't confirmed I am uncomfortable sending a sendmany and paying everyone at once.  Worse I can't simply pay the 12 who have confirmed because the list I have doesn't have forum names.  This is why I need a PM from EACH creditor with their deposit address, amount, and confirmation they got the test deposit before I can send a payment.

I had wanted to send a single sendmany at a single MtGox price to avoid a lot of work for myself but for this first payment it looks like I will need to send out individual payments.

TheBitMan

Thank you for the payment.  Please keep us updated with regards to schedule of future payments.

I would appreciate it if you could post here a date of a next payment or a list of dates for future payments and the amounts you expect to pay.

I will agree to withhold of any future small claim filing unless:

1.  Any stated payment date is more then 30 days delinquent or
2.  30 days from today (September 12, 2012) if no future payment date is posted here or
3.  Any period of more then 60 days passes without a subsequent payment or
4.  Any future payment is less then the initial payment of $500.00

I would ask that RandomQ agree to the same but it is obviously his choice of when to file based on your expected voluntary repayment schedule.

Thank you.
