Hi all, Just thought i'd mention my new website that is now open for business. Its http://bitcoindelivers.com and is basically a regular online shopping website but selling goods for Bitcoins only. Currently I am only accepting orders for Australian customers/addresses. The idea is that BitcoinDelivers will obtain stock from regular brick and mortar retail outlets at normal retail prices and then deliver that to the customer in exchange for Bitcoins. Hopefully this will help raise awareness about Bitcoin in Australia and encourage more Aussies to get on board. I think the more sites selling real goods and services can only help Bitcoin escape its current "trading and speculating only" stigma. Feedback and suggestions are welcome. Be very wary of relying on JavaScript for security on crypto sites. The site can change the JavaScript at any time unless you take unusual precautions, and browsers are not generally known for their airtight security.

That is a real clean site. I especially like the logo! I don't live in Australia, but I hope you do well. There seem to be quite a few Aussies around here.

Thanks bearbones, I wont be able to retire from sales from the site just yet, but hopefully it helps boost confidence in Bitcoins just knowing there are products out there to buy. Yeah, I'm pretty happy with the logo. I got Dave from http://www.sherbetlemon.co.uk/ to design it for me, paid in Bitcoins  |

Great work, there should be a search engine that only turns up BitCoin accepting websites. I suppose you can just put bitcoin at the end of a google search. I'm in Australia, good luck to you.

A quick question , your USD to AUD conversion rate base on what mate ?
Hopefully it wont be horrible like bitpiggy.com

Its simply mtgox btc -> usd price / latest aud -> usd price. If you wanted to buys something using bitcoins, if you transfer out to usd and then convert to aud the conversion rate will be roughly 3% less than the mid-market rate i'm using. So your better off buying direct with bitcoin |

I bought something from this site and there were no problems. If you're in Aus I highly recommend the service.
Also if you need an item contact them and they might add it for you.

Added some more products to the site. Bitcoin shirts, more gift cards. iPod touch price drop, now hovering around 8btc iPad 2 for just over 20btc.. if you bought some bitcoin just 6 weeks ago you would get this brand new iPad 2 for just $20 bucks. Surprisingly no takers. Lots of bitcoin saving going on at the moment |

MAN! That is absolutely AWSOME!!  You've done us Aussies proud. Thanks for this. It's very nice looking and laid out well. Perhaps once you stake out a few bread and butter lines, you can build enough T/O to buy wholesale. Then you may be able to take a bit of a margin. I hope it goes off like Paris Hilton at a bucks party. I don't know where abouts you are in OZ, or if they have any Angus & Robertson book store there, but Angus & Robertson are in receivership and should be closing in six to ten weeks. So if you want some cheap books to stock, you could keep an eye out for the BIG closing sale and scoop some likely titles. Books on computing, business and economics, would sell well in the bitcoin crowd I think. Again. Well done and thanks fellow Aussie! |

You seen the prices of those things, or are you just talking out of your bum? Can you show me where I can get one cheaper? If you're going to tell me "well Joe Blow over in Lane Cove sells them for $550" well forget it, I'm happy to pay a premium and support a bitcoin merchant. |
