So let's say I'm the only winner for Euromillions:
How are you going to pay me 24 million BTC? Or are you just buying BTC for 79 million GPB and send me that amount?
I'm not sure on the practicality of transferring that amount of bitcoins for large winnings such as that. I can easily do a bank transfer, cheque or moneybookers transfer as an alternative; which ever is most convenient to the player. I just listed the BTC values as a reference.
I like the idea of a syndicate run by BTC to increase the odds of winning.I recently entered the Euro millions lotto about 2 weeks ago.I didn't hit it big but got a smaller prize instead (got 2 matching numbers).
How much can a syndicate increase my chances of winning?
It all depends on the amount of tickets, 1 ticket for the Euromillions has incredibly low chances and large sums of tickets is expensive (25 euromillions tickets is worth £50), but you will be paying a fraction of that cost (almost 10%) for a share. According to Camelot (the lottery provider in the UK), 1 in 4 jackpot winnings are won by syndicates.
With the Euromillions there's a 1 in 76,275,360 chance in winning the jackpot, if you play with Syndiquick (with the current advertised syndicates), I believe the odds drop to 1 in 3,051,014. There is a 1 in 24 chance of winning any prize, so there is likely to be at least one winning line.
