I've used them too in the past and I was very impressed on the support and how quick it took I would recommend.

What sort of discounts would you get if you purchased something in the region of $500-1000?

It's a nice site, and I used it a few times and had a good experience; however, be careful if you're buying Amazon Gift Cards because if the purchaser charges back on their credit card you'll lose the money in your gift card balance.

This requires you giving out your personal information to a random buyer though like your address for a physical item? That's the part that I don't like.

Well so far I have gotten two things successfully. A $100 amazon gift card for 25% off ($75), and a weed whacker for $117 instead of $153. Pretty good I'd say! And one of them was bought by a guy in Germany. So it does work for buyers internationally.
Good Advice but as others have mentioned .... never buy gift cards with purse.io ... they can be reversed or cancelled by amazon way after the transaction by scammers. With physical items it is great because Purse.io holds the funds in escrow and amazon cannot teleport the items back to their warehouse. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=307922.0If you need a amazon gift card that get one with 3% off through gyft- http://www.gyft.com/bitcoin/

It uses Amazon's "Wish List" feature, so the person buying it for you won't know your address. They'll just know your state and zip code. If you're really worried about it, you can always use a reship service.

It'll work in whichever country you can buy stuff on Amazon, it doesn't have to be in the US .

I just made a 100+ purchase for 10% discount and the order was fulfilled instantly.
FYI- you may want to checkout the items first before adding them to your wishlist to get an idea of expected shipping times as that may discourage some buyers.

I look forward to continuing the dialog on this concept... I'm sure there will be several cynics, which is healthy for fine tuning new entrepreneur ideals. I commend the OP for thinking out of the box and taking steps to grow the technology. Please continue........

If you buy any kind of digital item (gift cards included) then you are at a very high risk that you could lose access to the item as the person who buys the item for you could claim that their credit card was stolen after the bitcoin is released to the other party

Colin YOU are the MAN I've talked about this previously with a few indiviuals but I don't think they ever took it seriously & the more I talk about it the more that I'm convinced that bitpay is actually damaging Bitcoin value. This website is ace I used it today got a whopping 25% off a $500 order and it took like an hour or so.

"Where does the discount come from? Bitcoin is not available everywhere. Depending on where you are, it's a pain in the ass to link bank accounts, pay international wires, get verified, etc. It takes a long time too. People are willing to pay a premium for a quick and convenient solution." I'm also pretty sure it's a great way to use stolen credit cards and hacked accounts to buy stuff, have it delivered to someone else and get non refundable bitcoin in return with less risk of the cops showing up at your door tracking down purchases made with stolen cards Call me cynical but there is no such thing as a free lunch Well Well Well, Look what I read today So i just got called that police, police are searching my place with a warrant, I've ordered an AppleTV in July, which turned out to be fraud. Had 8 transactions there, which resulted in 2 charges, one for fraud and the other for computer fraud, both purse transactions. I've had quite some hassle for a saving of 28€, my lawyer fees up until now are more than 10 times this. gonna drive home for christmas now and check back (6hrs). Be careful when using purse, only use items shipped by amazon! stay safehttp://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/2po40d/since_my_house_is_being_searched_right_now_small/People were so stupid to think this would be used for anything other than credit card fraud
