My card broke
Alright so i sent out the card for RMA, And they didnt want to refund me in the form of money, They are going to return to me a working 6990, Im not sure if that means it will be New, Or if it will be my old one Refurbrished. At anyrate, I dont want 6990, i want a 7970... or perhaps a pair of 7870> if possible  the 6990 doesnt fit in my main case.. It's about 8months old now, Been mining @ 450mem 910core @ 75-82° with the fan at 65-78% The card is a little roughed up on the exterior apperance, But all the internal hardware is funtioning great! The mounting metal (where you screw in the card) is a bent out of shape a bit The face sticker on the card (The nice MSI logo) is missing (pulled it off) Is anyone intrested? It gets 410mh/core at the settings that i run it with. I would really love to get this http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127667  Lets try and make a deal! I will trade you five 5830s for it. Original boxes and all accessories. Well taken care of. |

I could throw you basically an entire rig... an Asrock mobo that will hold 3 GPUs, a 630w single rail Rosewill PSU that will power those 3 GPUs (proc and ram) ... and 3 5830s?

Yeah ^ PCI-E power plugs come off the top of the card not the back... you would have to have a pretty tiny case for it not to fit.

Sorry, I should've addressed this sooner, I have a deticated rig, And my gaming rig, My intentions are to trade out the 6990 (from the 'custom modded' case) for a powerful amd gaming card that will fit in my gaming case, From the gaming case i'll be removing my dual 6870 setup and moving it into the chopshop case. This would hopefully allow me to crossfire later down the road |
