I wish my electricity was 0.085 in Houston. Where do you live?

But yeah I have pretty much the same cooling setup for the room, except without the foam. And ambient here seems to be more like 10-15F above external. Good thing I run water cooling so none of my cards throttle.

The 3x5830s in the garage with a huge 120mm fan blowing on it gets to 88C!

typical definition of huge by azn standard right here!

By huge I mean one of these Smiley

please dont embarrass yourself

my san ace can shit on that...

in seriousness, a 20" windows fan can do the job at much lower noise.

Except your 20 inch window fan cannot sit inside a computer case. I'm not about to allow spiders and shit to grow inside my case in the garage. Also I do not know of any San Ace 120mm fans that does 240 CFM. Care to link?

Edit: Never mind, found the San Ace, but it is 78 mm thick. Who the hell has that much room in the case? I might as well just put 2 of those Deltas.

Somewhere in the Midcoast area. Won't tell the exact town so that I can remain anonymous.

Belfast, Camden, Rockland to name a few of the more popular towns in the Midcoast area.

Ah cool, yeah, we are from a bit further northeast. I have family that lives in Eastport, and when we go up to visit them, we stop in Belfast at Young's Lobster pound. That's our last lobster of the trip, after swallowing our initial 100 lbs from the days before.
Nice! Yeah I've driven by Young's many times, have never actually ate there before though.

I just saw your other thread about wanting to buy BTC with amazon codes, cards, etc. If you are ever going to visit the area again sometime, give me a heads up and we could meetup in some public place to do business. I am a miner, so I always have some excess BTC to sell off.

Southern Maine (almost NH) here. The past 2 days my room almost got up to 80F... even with the windows open! Tongue

As a miner who lives in Florida, I don't want to hear shit from you all about your A/C and how hot it is getting.  I've been down-clocked/volted and venting to the exterior for two months already.

Bite my ass.   Kiss

I'm in the Florida club as well, but all of my cards are still overclocked. All of my rigs are in my garage beneath our living area. I live a block from the beach and it usually always blows in from the north east. I leave my garage door open about eigth inches off the ground and it makes about a 5-7*F difference versus when it is closed. When, I'm home I open the entrance door on the other side and let it create a wind tunnel through the garage to pull the hot air out. It'll usually drop it another 5-10*F.

I work early and lock everything up when I leave. By the time I get home it is usually about 97*F in my garage. Even with a 240 watt fan blowing on them my rigs get pretty toasty. Only one of them gives me problems as it is the only one in a case. I literaly just, as in hands are still dirty finished rigging up an exhaust system for when I have everything closed up. I had an old dryer that the heating element went out of that I got for free so I hacked it up: https://i.imgur.com/vch3r.jpg

And made this: https://i.imgur.com/T1cBh.jpg

You can see it here behind most of the rigs: https://i.imgur.com/0L0PJ.jpg
It currently isn't super efficient and it pulls 203 watts, but I plan on creating some ducting to seal everything up.

The hose runs around the closet in my garage and out the dryer vent slot on the other side of the garage. https://i.imgur.com/1UepP.jpg

It moves a ton of air, but like it said before it isn't very efficient. It still hasn't gotten too hot here yet, but it is getting close. I need to figure something out as when it starts hitting 95+ every day I expect to have some issues. 12.3 cents BTW, but my roomate pays half of it....

Card fans set to 52%

No AC, only a box window fan, they all stay under 65C. No problems!

Temps here in IL were near 90 the past couple of days with a heat index in the mid-90's.  I had to downclock my 3x6970 rig to 840 core to maintain sub 80C temps.  At night, I can crank it back up to stock.
Am I the only one who finds it weird to measure GPU temp and air temp in different units ?  Shocked

It's just that in the US people aren't used to using Centigrade for air temp (or any other metric measuring system for that matter) I know that whenever I tell anyone my GPU temps, they don't really understand (i live in michigan).

Personally I wouldn't want to know my temps in fahrenheit, I don't want to know when my temps are nearly 180 degrees, lol.

I should start mining again as it makes a good heater at this time of year.

Anybody else shut down because of the heat wave?
Yeah, it hit 70'F this weekend outside, and my room was getting to be 75. So I had to open the windows. Problem fixed.

Living in Maine is awesome.

Haha, same thing in Idaho Grin

That's what I do. Just because ambient is usually local and when talking to people across the world its easier to use centigrade. Its nice to travel and have an idea what the temp is without converting it Tongue
