Refilling a laser printer toner cartridge question.

Hello peoples! 



I am thinking about refilling the toner cartridge in my HP Laserjet 1015.  It's a cheap POS but it prints pretty decently.  I was actually going to give it away to a family member but the toner cartridge is empty.

My 2200 died a horrible, horrible death and now I have four bottles sitting here collecting dust, and a 1015 that needs toner badly.

Do you think it would be ok to put the 2200 toner in the 1015?  I paid like <$5 for the 1015 so if it kills it i'm not overly concerned.

I suggest that there was some kind of development in toner characteristics i.e. electromagnetic behaviour, structure and/or composition. For exampel toner became finer these days to archieve "higher resolutions". Therefore image quality depends on how the 1015 electrically "treats" the old toner (toner can be degenerated through aging, too!). If the difference is to high it will result in excessive or minor toner application. Anyways, with that table fireworx you can't be hurt, so just give it a try. Be sure you don't inhale that stuff.
