It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

I'd throw it at p2pool and take advantage of merged mining.

I mine with p2pool for the cool factor more than anything Cool

I like how it brings Bitcoin back toward its more primitive state, when there were not pools which could have influence on development.

Interesting choice of phrase. I'd probably go for "less centralized".

Whatever you do, don't mine at Deepbit. Tycho's a nice guy, but his pool controls way too large a percentage of the network for anyone's safety.

ozcoin.  free unless you go pps (donations recommended, still less than pps fees).  not shady like gpumax.

cool factor doesn't cover a 1600 month elec bill, not to mention the debt service on rigs.

shares rate: 838 shares per hour per GH/s
price per share 0.00004 BTC
in one day (24h):
838*0.00004*24 = .8 BTC per GH/s per day

So, your advanced level mathematics led you to the conclusion that I am making .8 BTC per Ghash.

My low, low level, redneck, grew up in the country shooting guns and riding dirtbikes math got me to .9 BTC per Ghash.

I guess my education isn't that bad after all.

Here is a post I found:

Does anyone have a good approximation for a MH/s to shares conversion?  Say I have 10 GH/s.....how many shares would that produce in 1 hour?

one diff 1 share ~= 2^32 hashes.

1 GH/s * 60 * 60 = 3.6E+12 hashes per hour.

So 3.6E12 / 2^32 = ~838 shares (diff 1) per hour per GH/s

10 GH/s would be 10x that or ~8380 shares per hour.

So, about 838 shares an hour Per GH/s. You have 25GH/s so that's approx. 20950 shares an hour (838*25).

20950*0.00004PPS=0.838BTC an Hour.

That's if your PPS is 0.00004/share on GPUMax of course.

So you should make 0.838*24 a day, aka 20.112BTC.

Well it appears that he has competition from other pools with slush at 12%, Deepbit only at 9%.

Also appears to be a large amount of "unknown" miners.
