No, mining is kind of pointless using a common computer used in your house.
You can either go and buy some mining rigs, or you could buy mining contracts online. However, you'd need a good amount to invest to actually make profits... Or, you could simply not mine at all.

First lesson, its bitcoin not bit coin.
It's Bitcoin not bitcoin. Anyway OP, forget about mining, in any way shape or form. Just convert your wealth into Bitcoin, or go search for some services to offer in the marketplace sobuforum. Thats how you get Bitcoin thse days. The dream of mining a lot of Bitcoin and going rich is over.

Mining isn't worth it anymore, unless you invest in the more expensive ASIC ones..which can be up to thousands of $$.

Not true. You can buy a Bitmain ANTMINER S3+ 453 GH/s miner right now for 0.528 BTC (about $172) and it will probably mine about 0.9 BTC Hi, I'm also new to Bitcoin. What is the easiest way to earn some Bitcoins? The easiest way to obtain bitcoins is to buy them.

How long would it take to mine .9 BTC though? Most of the bitcoins will be mined in the first 6 months. Because of the increasing difficulty, the revenue falls every 2 weeks. Eventually, the electricity cost will exceed the revenue.

With an input of 453GH/s, 355W, $0.1 per kWh, 0% pool fee on https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/calculator, it shows the miner will be able to mine ~0.17 btc if difficulty increment is 10%, ~0.37 btc if difficulty increment is 5%.

Don't bother with mining, buy ASIC miners or invest in cloud mining, just forget about mining with your pc.
