The guy that was interested in the package deal on these cards has not gotten back to me, so I'm posting them here.  I'd like to sell as a bundle, but I will sell individually:

6x 5870 Gigabyte Stock
2x 5870 Visiontek
3x 5870 XFX with ghetto HSF
2x 5870 XFX (?) stock
2x 5870 Gigabyte Stock or possibly SOC, but in either case, they are running SOC BIOS @ 950
1x 5850 AMD branded
1x 6990 XFX with water block

2x 6990 XFX with waterblock (These are my daily drivers, so I may hang on to them)

Out for RMA:

1x Gigabyte SOC - Waiting on RMA return
1x Diamond 5970 - Expected return - soon?

Likely not for sale, but possibly:

1x Visiontek 6970
1x 5970 with Arctic Cooling HSF + VRM cooler

Make an offer.  My basement is getting really hot and I need to make room in the DC for more BFL hardware.

If you're searching these lines for a point, you've probably missed it.  There was never anything there in the first place.

How much for the entire bundle?  I am in a pretty good building spot right now.  This will put me at a good 40 Ghash range.

Minus the two 6990 you may want to keep.

And are you interested in any trades?

Thanks.

I may be interested in trades.  If you want the entire bundle, I will cut you a deal... let me know what you've got and/or what you're offering.  Privately if you'd like or what have you.

Got two 5870's back from RMA from Gigabyte.  Who wants to buy 'em before I put them into service?

I would do 62 BTC shipped for the pair.  These still have nearly two years of no questions asked warranty left on them.

170 per 5870 is a bit out of my comfort zone.  I just got a couple for 27 BTC each.

Good luck though.

mine too, but bear in mind being Gigabyte dual fan cards they are worth the few extra bucks and seem to carry that value on other venues as well.  If my rig was ready for any more gpu's atm I'd snag em up.

cheers

If you're not excited by the idea of being an early adopter 'now', then you should come back in three or four years and either tell us "Told you it'd never work!" or join what should, by then, be a much more stable and easier-to-use system.

Bumping old thread, but didn't see everything is sold. Are the 5870's still for sale? Do they have a programmable VRM (volterra)? I have some gigabyte dual fan 5850's but they absolutely refuse to change voltage at all, even with bios flash (confirmed by kill-a-watt)

I have two gigabyte 5870's.  They are the hottest out of all of my cards...  I hate their fan setup.

that being said, if the price is lower now, I'd be interested as well

(classic talk down item to get cheaper value!)

Ya, my 2 gbyte 5850's run really hot too, but I blame unadjustable voltage for most of it. The airflow is also pretty poor too, even at 100% fan. Virtually no pressure.

I have a couple 5970's, one is stock and just back from RMA, the other one has a VRM cooler with an Accelero fan on it, so it's pretty quiet.

I have at least 1 Gigabyte 5870, will have to look how many more than that I have.

I also have a 7870, but I may keep that, as well as a 6870.
