Ive been there, lost a shitload of coins to a wallet stealing keylogger . I feel your pain. It was painful enough for me to try to warn others in my sig. All you can do now is move on, and follow my rule. The other thing I did is work worth a company that develops antikeylogger, and they developed software that scrambles all keystrokes on all "wallet-qt" apps. (All our wallets). A couple questions... My coins are 26 hours old and the wallet says it's not staking because I don't have any mature coins.  I'm using wallet version 1.0.3. I've restarted the client and the computer and nada.  How long before they start staking?  Is there a minimum amount needed before they will start staking?  (ie... 1,500... 10,000?)

I'm also surprised that with all the file sharing that is available, the dev(s) didn't just take the code (or a portion of it) from the HYP wallet and switch it around a bit and use it for BALLS.. Coin control would be nice to have...

Coin control was left out on purpose by the dev. Read the thread for a full explanation. Balls and HYP are two different coins in every way. Presstab (HYP dev) has put hundreds of hours of work into hyp wallet, and is not like anything else out there. 24 hours is min stake age for Balls. Balls usually stakes at 24 hours "on the dot". Havent missed a payment yet.

HYP has a very simple "inflation control" mechanism = Hard Cap 960,000 coins/day...
That means the nominal return will start dropping Dec-Jan from 750% to roughly 100-200% next summer...
So next summer you can think of HYP as a HBN + liquidity.

My understanding still vague, but with BALLS "inflation control" is more complex...

(1)  Very large transaction fees of 6-12 BALLS or more.

(2)  Dev wants millions of small blocks competing for stake as opposed to large, combined blocks.

So coin control = circumventing not-fully-explained "inflation control".

As I understood it, HYP will STAY at 750% , BUT POS diff will go higher in phase II starting in next 6-8 weeks. Therefore needing larger blocks to stake. 1600 coin block sizes now take about a month to stake , 4000 coin blocks 15+ days. So youll need larger block sizes to make the 1000 block HYP reward 6000-7000? I dont think HYP will ever be a hoboin the next 2 months. LOL.

I feel for you, im sorry for your loss. We have ALL lost money in the cryptocoin world. If it makes you feel any better, I lost 7700 BTCD to the zipcoin virus wallet... ya.. $37,000 . Feel any better? Learn and move on. I will NEVER , EVER forget August 2nd 2014. Be VERY glad you are not me.

Oh no what wallets did you guys download and the coins got stolen? that sux..I am so sorry for your losses. I don't have many wallets downloaded just few of them.

You need to do something about your other wallets. Remember they have ALL the passwords youve typed since you downloaded that virus. You need new wallet addresses on another pc,  and transfer ALL your funds to it....like NOW. They did not stop at one wallet for me. got:

Darkcoin
BTCD
Tek
Peer
Nxt

few others.. trying to forget. Point is , they DONT stop at just 1 wallet.

Yeah BALLS are awesome, sorry Vegas about ur previous loss..I remember losing a ton of blackcoin in the theft at cryptocrap lol was awful. We just need to be vigilant and careful./  In mean time let the balls brow..

So Im shocked that the price is still up. I thought with the crazy stake %.. the price would drop. Pleased I bought more on the way up. Was a big risk by the dev for the 5000% stake, but he nailed it! You guys all in HYP too? Im buying loads of Nanite too. Price is going through the roof on today on Bittrex. Gonna love that 200% POS.
