help me choose a wallet

hello everyone.
i want to choose a wallet to start putting my bitcoins there
from my last post i started here: https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet
now i want to choose from the list but i am a little confused

Q1: should i choose desktop or web wallet?

Q2: from desktop wallets which one to choose?
i realized bitcoin core uses the full node which needs more than 20 GB and growing so i don't want that. and also armory

then i found out about SPV, and i think both Multibit and Electrum uses that. can anyone tell me how much does each of these two take up space on me hard drive? and also which one do you suggest

Online is easier to manage, unless servers go down, desktops are more secure, and paper wallets are the most secure, if you encrypt them

Ad Q1. definitely desktop wallet for savings/bigger money, or web wallet for change
Ad Q2. Multibit don't need you to download whole blockchain, only ~200 Mb compared to 20 GB

Really depends on how much btc you have, I only use web wallets like blockchain.info for small amounts (spending) and desktop wallets (like core/electrum) for larger amounts. Long term storage I'd always recommend paper wallets.

i suggest Blockchain.info for online wallet and small amounts for spending and day to day use. because it is easy and also the most popular online wallet and it has been around since 2011 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blockchain.info)

for desktop wallet both multibit and electrum are good. and both take up around 25 MB for blockchain headers only i think.
the only difference I found so far is that in multibit you can not change the transaction fee

Multibit doesn't offer an option to change fee but you can do it. Refer to this thread: Multibit: a way to reduce transaction fee

I would go for a web wallet, just because it is so convenient and easy to function with.

Desktop wallets are risky and often require a lot of thinking to operate well and safely.

i actually search for this a couple of days back but i couldn't find it. and i gave it up since i saw a quote from developer who said on github that zero fees will make frustration for "regular users" and too many support calls for me!

You don't want to use zero fee tx, you can use <0.0001BTC like 0.00005BTC or 0.00001BTC. But it is better to stick with 0.0001BTC

I have just started using green address and it seems like a good wallet so far, i also use blockchain, both with 2fa, i will be looking in some sort of cold storage soon for larger amounts.
You could always use circle or coinbase but there more like a bank and that's not what bitcoin is really about, still good for people not so tech savy i think, there is a need for them.

For daily use , i prefer Blockchain and Electrum.
For saving or investment ,cold wallet is the safety way

Armoury is secure
Bitcoin core is the reference for all wallets
Electrum is less secure than core but is a desktop thin wallet.

I would use Multibit for safe transactions and an online wallet if you are going to manage low quantities of bitcoin

If you have just a little bitcoin, you can use blockchain.info with 2FA enabled. Or you can download Multibit or Electrum.
If you have a considerable amount, put most of them on an offline wallet or a paper wallet, and put a small amount of bitcoin on blockchain.info or Multibit or Electrum for your daily consumption.

You can try electrum.
The advantage being you can recover your wallet from a seed.
