Hello all:

I am making some research on making my own mini mining farm.

I have a cheap electricity (0.025 kw) but the max internet speed i can get is 4 Mbit download and 512 kbit upload .

I need to know how many rig and hash power on both bitcoin mining and scrypt coins mining i can connect to this internet line?.

Also my latency is about 100 ms pinging multipool , is this suitable number for mining or i will have many steals with this number?

Thank you.

You can connect as much mining power you want. Your internet speed is more than enough. I would prefer a little bit lower ping though...

They are just exchanging small little packets that won't take much run a wireshark and see it for yourself, yours is much better don't worry.

Then i can connect 100 scrypt rigs to one internet line easily?

Unfortunately the best ping time i have is 100 ms , i hope this not effect the mining.

id say you can run a 100 rigs id say youll be good up to about 4TH on sha and 500Mhs on scrypt (this is a safe limit youll probably be able to do more). the ping is a bit more of an issue as it takes longer to get and send work to the server so youll probably get a slightly higher stale rate on your shares but 100ms is still well within 1-2% stale range.

You will probably be mining on a pool. They usually use stratum protocol. The internet speed is not a major factor.

Yup, with a suitable share difficulty setting, you only need very little bandwidth for pool mining. Smiley
