Hi all, i have seen some good success storys for undevolting the S1.

Has anyone managed to undervolt the S2 or is it possible? Or is it not possible since out of the factory they were already undervolted?

Any information would be good.

Thanks

Well as you've said the S2 is already undervolted by design. It uses the same chips as the S1.

You could probably still get some power savings but it would be tedious to modify all of the DC-DC
converter voltage set resistors for all of the boards. Each board has multiple converters and each
one needs the voltage set resistor values changed.

I thought they were so that confirms it. Thanks for the reply, i am just looking at trying to increase mining speed without paying a fortune for miners if i can get something else and improve it.

Try the latest S2 software.

https://www.bitmaintech.com/support.htm?pid=00720140413044945482bs4xshkh072D

My latest S2 works with the setings  Voltage 07 and Frequency 193M

Unfortunately, sell it tomorrow and then all  my 14 Antminer S2 is sold.  New software came too late for me.

Normally its not worth to undervolt/underclock for S2 (only s1 is worth underclock). Its better for you to sell your miner if you are reaching the break-even point....
