In ONE sentence. Explain why Bitcoin makes sense for the average person. I like it because I'm a geek, but when people ask me why THEY should care about Bitcoin, I have a hard time answering.
Let this be a thread for mainstream PR.
I want a good solid mainstream answer I can give people TODAY that doesn't include the words decentralization, inflation, cryptocurrency, the Feds, peer to peer, or Ron Paul.

You should start using Bitcoin because you can gamble with the lowest fees ever on all kind of games.
When you win, you can buy a tesla. Or transfer your money anywhere in the world paying a ridiculous fee for big money amounts, and the transfer will be done in minutes!

I am not sure why you think it would cost a dollar to make two transactions. If you were to push two transactions then it should not cost you more then $0.08. Also one good thing about bitcoin is that it doesn't matter where the person receiving the money is, you just send a TX to a public address and the receiver will have access to the money as long as they have access to the private key |

This is the only reasonable answer that would apply to normal people so far, yet it shows a real use case problem for Bitcoin: 1) different: normal people hate different. They crave the familiar. Geeks like things because they are newer and different. 2) fun to use: this is money. Most people won't switch to something more complicated because it is fun to use. And in my opinion it's only fun to use because we like geeky stuff. 3) cheapest way to send money over the net: ok, this one maybe people will understand. People like to save money. But I mentioned to my parents that Bitcoin is so cool, because you can send 1milion dollars from point A to point B with no fees. And they said...of you had a million dollars to send, do you really think you'd care about the $20 transfer fee? zing! They shut me up! |

Most people feel they have control over their money. It's in the bank, FDIC insured. Bank fails, I get my money back up to $250,000. Oh, and most people live paycheck to paycheck. |

The fee is more but that is not important because if you look now at the fees you will look even when you will have 1 or more million dollars .... the most important thing is how fast the other person will receive the money! With BTC in a heartbeat with FIAT after a heart attack! So think fast and save lives! Use BTC!!! |
