Vertex brand 5970. I have been mining two months with it. Temps under 65 and fan around 45%. 720/150/950mV giving me 630MHash/s.

Asking for 63BTC shipped in EU. If you live somewhere else, make an offer and I'll check the shipping costs.

Highest bid 58BTC and sale pending for qyverlb

Bitcoin value went ~10% up since your original post. I propose 56BTC with escrow.

P2pool tuning guide
Trade BTC for €/$ at bitcoin.de (referral), it's cheaper and faster (acts as escrow and lets the buyers do bank transfers).

I'd like a picture of it before too. I couldn't find what a "Vertex brand 5970" looks like.

PM where you live so I can check the shipping cost. I think we can make a deal with 58BTC.

Do you want a pic from google or from my card? It's a normal 5970 reference cards. It says vertex 3d on the red fan. I will post a pic when I'm home.

Escrow is fine. Do you have someone in mind? You cover the fees Smiley

That's perfect : I've replacement fans for reference cards (these things eventually die). That was my main concern but I'll welcome a photo if you can get one.

Yes : juggalodarkclow. He proposed himself for another transaction that unfortunately aborted (see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=78054, the seller had hardware problems with the cards and didn't contact me since then).

I'm currently buying mapple syrup and other goodies from him :-)
If you are OK with him, I'll PM him.,

I suggest that we take photos along the process. Yourself from the package content and the package ready for the Post office (with readable tracking number), myself from the package with its tracking number too when it arrives and the package content once opened. I don't expect problems but if there is one this would help find out what went wrong.

I'll test the card for 24h at stock settings (I've a test bench always ready for this) and give the OK to the escrow after that.

juggalodarkclow is okay. I kind of know him. I think me and him were scammed by the same german guy two months ago Cheesy Can juggalowdarkclow post the payment address here so everything will be public.

Here is a picture of the actual card I'm selling.

As you can see it is a reference design and you can use those red fans for replacement. When testing the card keep in mind that one of the cores will crash frequently with wrong drivers.

I don't have time (currently at work) to ship the card today so next shipment will be on monday. Is that okay?

That's odd, never heard of a driver combination that made a core crash mining and not the other (at least not under Linux/cgminer, which is what I use) : I see you underclocked it. I'm worried because last time I had one core crashing, it forced me to underclock it and this was mere weeks before the VRMs died : I had to sell it for parts on eBay (fortunately it mined for months before that and paid for itself). I won't buy a card that the seller couldn't make mine 24/7 recently at at least stock settings without problems. Can you tell us more about the history of this card :
  • bought new/used ?
  • when ?
  • from whom ?
  • for what reason did you underclock ?
  • did it mine successfully at stock settings, with which drivers and for how long without crash ?
  • when was the last time it did ?

I'm not in a hurry (and very cautious as I have been burned before) and the Bitcoin/EUR exchange rate is still rising ;-). On this subject : it's not rising enough for me to ask for less than 58BTC : but if it goes above 4.8EUR, (currently 4.57 at MtGox) before I'm convinced the card is fine, I'll negotiate the price with you again.

I asked juggalodarkclow to join us if he is still willing to provide escrow service.

- Bought used
- Mid-January
- Battlefield3 gamer from Finland

I'm underclocking memory because of the heat. Underclocking ables me to drop the voltage all the way down to 950mV. Are you serious about mining with stock settings? I've never tried mining with stock settings so I don't know about stability.

Last time the card crashed was about 10 days ago and that was the second core. First core never crashes. I tried using 11.12 while ago but it just wasn't stable. Now I have only 4 GPUs and I'm using 12.4. Mining without problems. And yes, I'm using windows.

What is your definition about stock settings? 725/1000/1049mV? I will run it with setting of your choosing and let's see if it's stable. If not - I will wait for the VRMs to die Cheesy

Hi,

the memory settings are not important to me as they don't change the hashrate much (I always underclock memory to save money). I only care about the GPU frequencies and voltages because this is what is stressing the VRMs most. So 725/1000/1049mV is fine as 725/300/1049mV would be too.

And yes I'm serious about the GPU stock settings as I test the cards to find out the stable frequencies for all voltages as well as the card power consumption for all of them. Depending on the Bitcoin value, the most profitable setting changes. If the card can't work at stock voltage/freq properly it limits my income and lowers its value (because a whole rig has to reboot to reinit the faulty core or because I have to underclock the core and it won't resell to a gamer).

The fact that you run it since January is reassuring. Please take the week-end to test it at 725MHz and 1049mV and report Monday, if all goes well I'll send the BTC to juggalodarkclow as soon as I get your confirmation that it works properly at these settings.

Not stable. It crashed the whole rig yesterday when I was away from home. I came back home and there were 20k shares missing from my pool stats.. So yes, it might die in few weeks?

Mining happily with 710/150 though.

Let me know wha you think.

I'll pass : I want to be able to sell my cards to gamers in December if I need to...

No, I don't consider it broken/faulty. It is mining right now 625MHash/s and in a place where I don't pay for power. It can mine away until it dies (if it dies).
