First thing that you can do is to put the address of thief here, second thing is to use ESCROW in every case that you trade something. Be careful next time !

I guess he was talking about the user "Glish" https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=383729 who has a negative trust feedback from Tomatocage with the comment "Multiple scam allegations against this user. Please practice due diligence when doing business with him.".

You have made a thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=831230.0 for selling your account for 0.07 btc. Is that related to the scam?

You were trying to sell your bitcointalk account and got scammed, so what, tell someone that cares.
Selling accounts may be aloud but frowned on by many members.
I don't think anyone will help you let alone feel sorry for you.

If you're selling an account, you should really escrow it, as it's extremely easy to scam from either party. Yeah, like the last poster said, while it's allowed, not much may be done to help someone who was selling an account.

Is it possible for this man to make another account and then scam more people? *sigh* How can we stop this thing from spreading?

Of course it is possible to make accounts and scam people. "We" can't stop this. "You" can take appropriate precautions (such as using escrow by a trusted member, not going first when trading with a newbie, etc.)

I see this as a part of the greater cryptocurrency experiment. To use cryptocurrencies properly, people need to learn how to work with trust, escrow, etc. when faced with anonymous transaction partners. People who "don't get it" will pay for costly tuition...

Is there any way that we can maybe tag them as dishonest people here in btctalk?

You can use the trust system to "tag" accounts.
However, that does not prevent scammers from creating new accounts with neutral trust value.

There are accounts here with very negative trust values, I'd guess that many of them are not outright scammers but either folks whose business ideas were not working out and who burned other people's money, or people who got involved into a dispute with someone who then gave them a "spite" trust rating. Of course some of those with negative trust might be true scammers...

There are definite precautions that should be made, regardless of how much you trust the person. Always use an escrow, particularly when you're dealing with a larger sum of money

Reveal your account here. That way the scammer wont be able to enjoy your account for free.
