I ordered 2, just so I could keep one wrapped in its plastic bag. Cheesy

lol@"It's Already Worthless"

Very seriously, this magazine is the first non-2600 magazine that I know of to come out of hacker/cypherpunk culture to be professionally designed in the last 10 years and I think it's got a very long future ahead of it regardless of the future of the very specific Bitcoin project considering it covers all cryptocurrency topics.

I can't wait to see where it goes.

Even if Bitcoin fails, you should keep the title the same, because Bitcoin will probably have an impact on future technologies similar to it.

My thoughts exactly. There are many new cryptocurrencies on the horizon and we've already got our feet firmly planted underneath them. I don't want to brag but all those people saying "People still buy magazines?" and "This is a dumb idea" are going to be learning real fast the genius behind it.

We'll be enabling purchasing for issue #2 here soon. Any takers?  Grin

(I still haven't received mine in Korea yet  Cry)

Also, a good joke to tell kids in Korea, assuming they don't know english: In America the students get up in front of their peers and have contests where they spell words!

Is speel a German word?

Unremorsefully, I'm adding the following to this post for value.

Quite few peeps commented on this old thread that they bought #1 and a spare. Did anybody scan and make a PDF?  Bitcoin magazine does not offer this and I have been working to entice them to offer it. I own one and do not plan on unsealing it.

Well now after 11 years later we know this answer to your question. If someone did buy issue the 1 from May 2012 they are holding on to a very nice piece of history and a investment.

It would have been a great investment to make. Bitcoinmagazine.com now is selling that issue for $2100 right now. https://store.bitcoinmagazine.com/products/bitcoin-magazine-issue-1-may-2012
