One guy sells for about 2000 USD (appearantly this is the price for one miner already delivered to Russia, so the price in China should be definetely less...) it here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=833517.0

But what is it? Are there any reviews/tests for these miners somewhere in the Net?..

Maybe I missed something? Any announce?..  Undecided

Moreover, he says that this miner should be able to work at 3.5-4 Th. And he promise to give to the world a review, but no one knows when he'll keep his promise...

Looks like a Dragon variant.  But I have never heard of it.

Be VERY wary here. Joshua Zipkin of AMT made similar unrealistic exaggerated claims with his A1 miners as well. And the UI looks identical to the AMT UI that they used originally, not to mention the physical design of the miners themselves being dragon variants.

"amtminers scam joshua zipkin scammer"
-Joshua Zipkin leaked skype chats http://bit.ly/1s7U2Yb
-For bitcoin to succeed the community must police itself.

Sure it could, A1 chips have excellent low power modes, its just that everyone's been selling them at nominal / turbo clock speeds.

So just double the chip density? The old dragons had 8 chips per blade for ~250 GH/s, and around the same watts. What do the chips hash at with 0.35 W/GH?

I have yet to see any  "low power" A1 based design that gets anything better than ~75-.8w/gh, on the newest model dragons, I think doing 1.5TH for 1100-1200w?

You are correct 1.5th for  a little over 1100 seems to be only massed made under clocked.

They didnt show the back but i think there is a good chance this is the 2 th model with 2 PSU's.

Because no one has / would have wanted to sell a low power design. It requires more crazily priced chips for the same hash rate and sell price. At the end of the day they'd rather take the $xxx saving and .3 higher power consumption.

Is it possible to modify Desks and Rigs to run at these numbers? Setting the voltage and frequency through software seems to make very little difference to efficiency, at least when undervolting and underclocking. The hashrate just seems to drop linearly with power whatever I try.

Look
most of  the A1 batches of chips are not able to run less than 780-800 Mhz
So no way to underclock this further

I was under the impression that the very old desks had voltage control and so were able to achieve super high efficiency - but they were made at a time when $ was high and difficulty was low so there was no reason to look at that range.

Most, not all. I have no information on this miner but what I was saying is that its not impossible with these chips.
