If you're just using one card for now, use CCC 12.3.  I have 4 separate 7xxx cards going in one rig without any issues.  Haven't tried more than 4 though.

As for settings:

CGMiner
intensity: 7
vectors: 1
worksize: 256
kernel: diablo

MSI Afterburner
Core voltage: depends on your card (I leave mine at stock voltage)
Core clock: 1100 MHz
Memory clock: 170 MHz
Fan speed: 85%

This will yield 650 Mh/s.
I used intensity 11. Running at 673MHash.
Default volt, 1125 core, default memory.
How do I reduce the memory speed? I tried the slider in AB, but it doesn't change at all.
I read there's a special file that I need to change in AB, what would that be?

Intensity 11 is fine, but seems to cause CPU bug with multiple cards.  So I leave it on 7 with my miners.

You have to go into MSIAfterburner.cfg and change UnofficialOverclockingMode = 2.  When you open AB again, it will ask you to accept, click Yes.  Then you should be able to lower your memory speed and it should stick.  If you want to lower it even further, close AB, go into the Profiles folder (MSI Afterburner\Profiles) and delete anything that starts with VEN_.  When you open AB again, it will ask you to restart to detect default settings properly, click No.

Once i found the benefit of undervolting.  I will never run my cards flat out anymore, not unless btc's are 30 a piece!!

Minimizing electrical costs is such a short-sighted goal. The main goal should be to maximize profit.

Even if you paid 10c/kwh, it makes sense to run at stock volts and max out the GPU.

For your particular system:

3300MH/s generates at current difficulty and $5.2 exchange rate: $3957.24/yr
2750MH/s generates at current difficulty and $5.2 exchange rate: $3297.72/yr

1.44 kW * 24h/day * 365 day/yr * 0.1 $/kWh = $1261.44/yr
0.83 kW * 24h/day * 365 day/yr * 0.1 $/kWh = $727.08/yr

3300MH/s profit = $2695.8/yr
2750MH/s profit = $2570.64/yr

As long as your power supply can handle it, it makes sense to run stock voltage and overclocked.

You're increasing your electricity used by 74%. That extra power only gives you an increase of 20% in hashing speed. Your efficiency goes down from 3.31MHs/W to 2.29MHs/W. And yet you still manage an extra $120 profit? I'm gonna say that only works when your $/KWh is low. Lets try again at 15c/KWh...

Southern Maine, with residential prices. It's gone down from about 15 1/2 to 14 1/2 over the past year.

Noise too ! Electromigration too.

Anyone that is NOT undervolting their GPUs with the incoming army of FPGA/ASIC and 25 BTC reward is only kidding themselves or being lazy and losing out $$$.

Maybe free power people ... but somebody is paying for it !

Watercool for the noise and the fan life.

Electromigration isn't a factor when you consider these cards will be obsolete far before that becomes an issue.

There are still parts of the US that pay less than $0.06c/kwh so this will still be competitive with FPGA, even after 25 BTC reward drop.

Digging this thread back out from its June 6 grave.

Any more miners with settings, mhash results and watts to report?

I'm currently using an ASUS directCU II (non-TOP) pulling 673mh/s at stock voltage with 1150 GPU clock and 450 memory.. Just starting to play with optimization so input and other experiences would be great.

one of my elec circuits are at it's limit, so i downclocked further... getting 3.6Mh/watt
 

rig:  gd70 with Seasonic 750's, phenum 4core, 4g ram

clocks:  800/650/887volts. (cgminer displays volts improperly)

rig is pulling 660 watts at the wall

If you're just using one card for now, use CCC 12.3.  I have 4 separate 7xxx cards going in one rig without any issues.  Haven't tried more than 4 though.

As for settings:

CGMiner
intensity: 7
vectors: 1
worksize: 256
kernel: diablo

MSI Afterburner
Core voltage: depends on your card (I leave mine at stock voltage)
Core clock: 1100 MHz
Memory clock: 170 MHz
Fan speed: 85%

This will yield 650 Mh/s.
I used intensity 11. Running at 673MHash.
Default volt, 1125 core, default memory.
How do I reduce the memory speed? I tried the slider in AB, but it doesn't change at all.
I read there's a special file that I need to change in AB, what would that be?

Intensity 11 is fine, but seems to cause CPU bug with multiple cards.  So I leave it on 7 with my miners.

You have to go into MSIAfterburner.cfg and change UnofficialOverclockingMode = 2.  When you open AB again, it will ask you to accept, click Yes.  Then you should be able to lower your memory speed and it should stick.  If you want to lower it even further, close AB, go into the Profiles folder (MSI Afterburner\Profiles) and delete anything that starts with VEN_.  When you open AB again, it will ask you to restart to detect default settings properly, click No.

If that method dosen't work,just copy & paste the info below over the info in the MSIAfterburner.config file under this section-[ATIADLHAL]

BTW,you can open the config file with notepad  Grin
