Hello,  I decided to create an account for work.  Th boss is interested in Mining and I thought this would be the best way to get information for them.  We are more interested in GPU mining because we have the infrastructure already and the is not that concerned with Power prices because our machines need to be on anyway.  I will be working up numbers soon on ratios and payouts based on figures I derive from your pages so if there is any assistance out there I am open to existing information.

Forget about bitcoins with GPU.

There are two approaches:
Mine something "stable" like litecoin, sell them as you mine them, this would give a stady income.

or

Find somekinda altcoin that have potential to rise in value, mine a bunch of them and sell them when price a high (this is more speculation than mining, but have worked for many).

Basically you cant mine straight scrypt asics have taken it over.   I think you will find GPU disappointing.   If you are paying electricity you will lose more then you make.  I had to pull the plug on 8500 watt worth of GPU's a while back just because I was going to lose money.

You can do it, but you would be better off with a nice ASIC if you truly have electricity you don't care about.

essentially I get the GPU's for free.  its hard to pay for ASIC's but I will propose it.

If you need to make money with the GPUs, sell them on Craigslist.

You could mine some Alt's but it's hardly worth the effort. The FREE electricity is a bonus, but she/he still need to pay it.

Good luck and welcome, if you carefully check altcoins, you can still be profitable wih gpu's.

I suggest that this time you should not have to invest your bitcoin mining sector, it is very risky, because of the current exchange rates fluctuating bitcoin being very high, the price for bitcoin mining is now very expensive, and its BEP point is very high, can reach more than 5 years, now I suggest you should still collect bitcoin and keep them in your wallet, sell your bitcoin only as needed, you can get more profit when your bitcoin prices rising and stable ...

To the above post^ if you really want to invest in mining, scrypt could be a viable option (check out for alt currencies which you could mine and sell fro btc of course in the alt section)

You will not earn enough to pay for the additional electricity cost.

Please understand that a GPU that is running at 100% uses much more electricity than one that is idle. Your power bill will skyrocket. Also, don't forget about cooling costs. An active GPU generates a lot more heat than an idle GPU. That means your cooling costs will go up, too.
