I don't understand these posts. How can anyone bother spending so much work to earn 0.05 BTC, pretty much a US quarter?

It's totally useless to take out small loans to gain rep. You'll gain much more rep if you sell stuff.

I don't know if you understood this, but this is not for rep, i've gotten my share of rep from selling stuff if you cared to look at my signature. I need this for a personal purchase and therefore used the rep thing to gather potential lenders.
