If you can turn on a computer or cell phone and type numbers you can use bit coin. Use is really simple and you don't need to understand the underlying system to use it. To apply a standard like that is either intellectually dishonest or ignorant.

bitcoin remains too complex for the average person to understand, let alone use; the global banking system is indeed broken but that doesn’t mean bitcoin is the solution; bitcoin is not — and never will be — relevant for “normal” people.

Modern money is far too complex the "average person" to understand, that's how they get away with it.
