This would possibly be the only other community where you would find anybody else. Trust me, Bitcoin isn't that big yet, it was a lot bigger last year around this time when the price started exploding upwards. A majority don't see this as a long term thing but as a get-rich quick scheme which evaporated when the price bubble popped.

You'll also find on the various exchanges a lot of Bitcoin users hanging about on chat, since they do so much business there they just seem to hang out there too.

And there is a reason for that. After all, it is Satoshi and many bitcoin founders started this forum.

All other crypto forums are shit and most are dead. Bitcointalk is still the best. I like some bitcoin news sites like Coindesk and Cointelegraph etc.

I only wanted 2 see u underneath the Purple Wayne.

...

I like bitcointalk because everyone here is decent to beginners, and there is a LOT of good information.

I occasionally read reddit's bitcoin items (blockchain.info offers up interesting reddit leads at their home page).  Which actually raises a question:

Why doesn't blockchain.info link to here anymore?

Bitcointalk is the only bitcoin forum that I participate on.

Therefore anyone participating on any other forum is missing out on my amazing knowledge and advice.

As such, it is a waste of time to participate in any other forum.

Over time as more people learn this, this forum becomes more popular and other forums slowly die off.

Same here!  I have learned a ton of stuff about bitcoin through this forum, but the more I learn, the more questions I seem to have.

Bitcointalk is the only forum you need and that's why none of the others succeed because they're just not required or have the userbase that this one has. I also like the way this forum is moderated any basically anything goes within reason. Most other forums the power goes to the mods head and they just abuse it.

I think there are a few active Russian and Spanish forums, but BitcoinTalk and Reddit are the main English speaking forums primarily for Bitcoins. I can find some active Bitcoin topics on non-crypto related forums too.
