Even fresh orange juice contains more sugar than you think. This comes to no surprise to me. Sodium (salt) is another problem altogether.

The only problem I see here that juices are artificially sweetened. If something is labeled - Juice it should be just JUICE without any sweeteners. If not it is not juice...

Most fruit juices aren't really good for you as they are essentially just sugar water. Just eat the fruit.

The only problem I see here that juices are artificially sweetened. If something is labeled - Juice it should be just JUICE without any sweeteners. If not it is not juice...

Nope. It's full of natural sugars and by juicing it you get rid of all the other good stuff; fibre etc.

That's why I get the juices that are watered down to have 50% the sugar that the normal juice has.  Or I water it down myself.  Half the shit out there is too sweet anyway.

I've actually been looking into this for a while now. There are TONS of things that have an equal amount of sugar or more than coke (yoghurt with taste, juice as you say, pretty much all tasty "fruit" drinks are just pumped up with sugar - lots of food has half the amount or more, this is in Sweden so I can only imagine how bad it is in the states.
Next time you go shopping check the amount of sugar on the index of the drinks/food you buy - you will be surprised. There are also a lot of synthetic sweeteners (for example Aspartame in sausage (taking this as an example).

Turn off the news and read. Watch Psywar, learn something important about our society and PR, why and how it got started and how it brainwashes you.

John Oliver did a nice piece recently explaining how difficult it is to grasp what a gram of sugar really "means." Even growing up with the notoriously bad food of the MidWest, though, I've never eaten a circus peanut... We had those weird, colored church mints that melt, instead.

School "milk," packaged meats, and deli meats also tend to contain large amounts of sugar. I don't even think there're any pre-made red sauces on the market anymore which don't taste like chunky ketchup. Cheesy It does take a while to reorient your palate to take in non-candied foods regularly, though, and honestly, I haven't lost a single pound cutting almost all sugar out of my diet for the past three years, though my blood sugar's become normal and pressure's medium-low where it was high. I'm losing lots of weight, now, though, but that's just from the most physically intense factory job I've ever held.

I'm pretty sure eating at a caloric deficit will result in more weight loss than reducing your sugar intake. The guy in the video does make some points; some consumers don't fully grasp how much sugar is actually in their food.

damn no wonder we have serious diabetes type 2 going on.

Information about nutrition is easily accessible. Being ignorant isn't an excuse.
