Tobias Gray Stoltenberg, born 9:31pm on June 5th, 2012! Didn't start the day expecting to have him, but at this morning's 10:45am checkup, something was off. Baby's heartrate was high. They kept my wife at the hospital for observation and eventually sent her down to labor and delivery at 11:45. Everything was looking ok after a while and around 3:45, they were ready to send us home. Amazingly, my wife's water broke. Several hours later, as he was finally coming out, we learned the cause of his distress earlier In the day: The cord was wrapped around his neck twice, and tightened as his head was delivered. Thankfully we have a healthy little boy and there appear to be no complications because of it! So glad my wife picked the nurse-midwife she did and that she made the right call to keep us here this morning!

I have 3 boys between 1 and 8. At this point babies start to sound like more of a curse. lol. Bust of luck to you both though!

Congratulations! My niece was born unexpectedly after a monthly checkup. Within an hour of that checkup, she was born. A month early. Thankfully she is now a happy and healthy 3 year old.
