Hi all!Tomorrows it's IPv6 Launch day, this time it's for real. Facebook has already begun, Google, Youtube and AT&T are joining up tomorrow. Which leads to my question:
Is there
any other Bitcoin service provider that's fully supporting IPv6?
Is there any Bitcoin service provider that's participating in the IPv6 Launch - if not available already under v6?
We (
https://www.bitlc.net) are, we have been since day one (I.e. back in 2011). But to promote v6 more, and to actually get people to start using it, i just published a blog post with some more information,
live graphs etc.
https://www.bitlc.net/blog/tomorrow-its-world-ipv6-launch-day-6 I really want to see a spike in traffic towards our site, for v6. Not an increase in traffic in general, but an increase in v6 traffic.
I also want to see an increase in general IPv6 traffic -
world wide, and in the bitcoin network. Currently there's only a few single nodes thats under v6.
The latest git head DO support v6, but it's disabled by default. Enable it by setting
USE_IPV6=1 in your makefile.
I'm here (and in #bitcoin / #bitlc on freenode) for any questions about IPv6, and i will assist people as much as i can to set up tunnels OR native solutions, if your ISP provides it.
I'm certified from HE.net as a
IPv6 Sage (not that i really though that test was that difficult, but still):
