Where did this "This is gentlemen" thing come from?  It has to be some kind of meme seeing as how it's broken English and makes no sense without the word "it" in there.

I was curious about it too... I'm not a fan of bad grammar though... I stand the cute Doge memes, because he's adorable, but this gentleman saying is a bid odd.  Undecided

It was coined in the reddit forum by someone watching btc prices while driving his car
And he mistyped it that way when he saw this spike starting and since then onwards its been cigars and bathrobes and monocles and heading for champagne  and Lamborghinis and private jets and shit Smiley

It should technically be This is it, gentleman.

But... it is so damn catchy... we have been saying it for days now lol.... This is gentleman...  another way of approving.. Yesterday I saw a man open a door for a little old lady.. I said... This sir... Is gentleman.. and I handed him 5 bucks and walked off lol.. so catchy

For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the world, and lose his own soul?

I would be so embarrassed to have a typo of mine end up in infamy like this.

Bitcoin is really taking off! hit 434 allready. Cant wait to see where this goes.

430$ on Bitstamp at the time of this post and it went to 453$ on Bitstamp and higher on some other exchanges. 290$ was a great entry point considering today's price!

I didn't understand how "the gentleman" is related to any of this Tongue

Wow. I tried searching for it hoping for a "know you meme" entry, and only came up with rap lyrics.

I had no idea it was only a day 12 hours old.

This is the second time I've seen that link claimed as being the first "This is gentlemen" post, but it's not. That was posted in response to the original typo, here:
