Hello, the title says it all, I need to borrow 5 btc for 1 day (24 hrs), with so many people scamming and nobody trusting newbs, how does one get his foot in the door of the trust circle? Any suggestions are welcome.... thanks guys!
Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

You will most likely need to provide a scan of your ID + proof of address to a lender, even then you aren't certain to get a loan.

Why do you need the loan anyways?

I don't necessarily NEED the loan, I'm not in dire straights but I get paid tommorow and I have a local deal for some Xbox 360 hardware and I see the price of btc going up quick so I wanted to get it today. If I don't get it it will be fine though, I also am trying to build some rep and trust here. Thanks for replying with this info

Best way of getting rep is being active on the forum, not with repaying small loans.

True, borrowing 5 btc, then repaying the next day just to borrow more is just another way of scamming.

so... you are buying xbox hardware locally with bitcoins? what interest rate are you asking? and if you have no bitcoins now but you are getting paid tomorrow, and you are paying the loan off tomorrow, does this mean you are paid in bitcoins?

No problem. You are wise to not take offense on a public forum. Best to just ignore such remarks and let your actions speak for themselves.

Exactly. This is why so many people choose to lurk instead of become a part of the forum. Its a damn shame
