There are a lot of sources these days and while there is no standard current price, some are better than others. I think the best ones use a weighted average of exchange prices. My favorite has becom google.  Embarrassed yes, google. If you type "bitcoin price" in a search you can see it.

What do you use when you want to know how much BTC is worth in other (lesser) currencies?

I still think Rick Valkvinge has the best analysis of the future price.

preev.com lists the price based on the average of several exchanges.

lol, yep. those guys hate me.
Although, that's not a bad layout they have. I just think their product is a diversion from bitcoin.

I guess it's a personal preference for most people.

I mostly use Bitstamp as source for pricing, but BTC-E is also fair in pricing.

I mostly use Bitstamp as source for pricing, but BTC-E is also fair in pricing.

I like checking BTC-e, to know it's "at least" worth that, since they seem to react to downtrends quicker and straggle on the up.
