Hi,
I'd like to know if it's worth paying ~$400 for a 5.6 MH/s Scrypt miner actually. I don't know about mining in solo mode, so I have no clue if it's worth. I noticed that, according to Coinwarz, RonPaulcoin takes only "0.16" days to generate one block in mining solo... What does that mean?

While mining in a pool with any scrypt miner, regardless of the coin mined, looks like isn't worth at all.

400 usd is far too high a price

http://zoomhash.com/collections/asics/products/copy-of-plug-and-play-230-250mhs-5000w-scrypt-asic-package-domestic-usa-only-ships-from-los-angeles

i had some of the above   decent gear

the cost is 289 + 60 to ship to New Jersey from west coast.  you pay 350 usd use paypal to pay and get 23mh

it uses under 500 watts.

I have two of those for sale if youre interested, Im from Spain so if youre in Europe we can work something out! Pm and Ill give you more info

Is there a certain coin you want to mine? If so consider renting has or buy it if it on an exchange.

If you're going to spend that much wait for the AntMiner L1... $600 for 120MH/s. That's $5 per MH/S not $75 per MH/s.

Hey, AjinNYC! Don't expect to see Antminer L1 available again! I have emailed them ~1 month ago and they noticed me they won't NEVER sell that miner again. I'm almost sure they are just mining for themselves and don't want anyone to compete with themselves.

Well that sucks, but the Hashra Astro seems like a better speed to cost ratio anyway (although the electricity usage is higher on the Hashra).

Done with this forum. Goodbye all.

first use a calculator to calculate in how much time it will return your investment and then profit
if you find that it will give you a good ROI then you should buy them

Yes they are not worth it at all.

You can buy one, use it for a few months and then sell it asap.

Problem with eBay is many buyers will send it back after 45 days for a full refund when they realise the low ROI

I forgot Hashra Astro! I found it useful to make people who are waiting to buy L1 to don't waste time (and lose money) for Bitmain to bring back the Antminer L1.

I'm afraid to never ROI with Astro, since Coinwarz says it takes ~200 freaking days to break even (I'm adding import duties, which is damn too expensive where I live).

Where did you find for only 30$? I also need to literally double the final price when looking for a miner to buy because of import duties.

I'm not  to worried i had it set for 30 days in the US and this guy knew it all most had no value. I don't sell to anyone out side the US to be safe. the one i did sell was a H x3 i asked the guy if  he got it even thu ups showed he did . he gave no feed back at all it has 10 days left in returns, I'm sweating that one.

he may mean the 5 chip one which doesn't even come close to 5.6 MH ,that's about the going price or less atm for one of those.

Exactly, then the 5.6mh gridseed sells on ebay for about 100€, quite decent!

Oh, so in this case I think he is right (though he didn't take into consideration the import fees).
