It was down for a while a few hours ago.

All I can say is that this is Bitcoin. I don't believe it until I see six confirmations.

It was down for a while a few hours ago.

Can confirm that myself, it definitely went down and these kind of attacks have happened before.

LOL probably, but there's all sorts of emails and information here that they can get their hands on plus some people will clearly want to just take it down for giggles.
