IMO, there was a stealth peak in June, i.e. never went as high as it shoulda. Which kicked off another ~8 month period, so we're "due" in Feb.

I am not expecting any power surge now, because I really hope people finally gets a steady virtual currency with steady price. And this steady price (regardless of being low) might be the best thing 4 BTC.

you cannot predict a yearly spike based purely on  years history..

you need full history, and also the context that cased the last few spikes along with relevent data to notice patterns in todays movements..

All we need is another super large credit card breach, then one big retailer will adopt bitcoin to "get one over" on the unfortunate competitor.... or they'll do it to save face/restore faith.

National Cash Register just got bitcoin support in their products, so it should be getting easier for some of them to implement.

How so? The more merchants accepting it, the more like a currency it becomes

Bitcoin price is unpredictable. Merchant acceptance is always good but sometimes even just the speculation or rumor or a merchant accepting it can effect the price. I would love to see what would happen to it if a massive company like Amazon announced it was accepting it though  Grin.

The NCR thing didn't generate a ton of buzz but that might be the most important story in recent weeks. This gives bitcoin a potentially giant market penetration.

Well if we equate that with "apocalypses" then bring them on, I've survived about a hundred predicted apocalypses since birth, no problems, but 2 bitcoin price spikes seem to have killed nerves, braincells, and got my manbeard turning grey. Cheesy

LOL Third price peak?

So Bitcoin started in 2013?

Any analysis of the price of bitcoins that doesn't include the Great Bitcoin Bubble of June 2011 is as bogus as the childish mewling of the noobs who think Bitcoin started last November at $1000.

What a joke.

Wrong time actually, no business would risk adding a new payment processor which could potentially create issues and consequently bad publicity at the best trading time of the year.

Any merchant adoption will restart Feb time after the sales.
