Hello,

Here is what I am doing.    I need a link to either Amazon.com, Cablesarus or Newegg for the product (please).     First I need a good PCI extender (adding another 7970), then I need a good PCI to PCI-E adapter so I can mount this card.

Also I need the longest PCI-E extender cable as well so I can add a 4th 7970.    I have found many options, but I know this forum as a ton of wisdom and the recommendations I have gotten to this point have been top notch.

Thank you so much!!

Adapter

Extender

I'm running this exact set up and it works great. You can try doing without an extender with molex, but I wouldn't risk this. It doesn't make sense to risk damage to pricey components just to save a few $. Also, you might check over in marketplace on this board and see if anyone is selling extenders with molex. And if you don't mind soldering up one yourself, they are relatively easy to make (if you search you will find instructions).

If the extender isn't long enough, just chain it with another.

As far as I know, Cablesaurus is the only place you can buy extenders with molex (at least I couldn't find another). They are pricey, but worth it IMO b/c the quality is top notch.

BTW, I think you have this board

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157262

in which case you don't need the pci to pcie adapter for a fourth card - just a x1 connector (or two if you need to chain them). If so, just get one of these

http://www.amazon.com/BestDealUSA-Ribbon-Extension-Extender-Adapter/dp/B006DQRUZ8/ref=sr_1_4?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1339004716&sr=1-4

and one of these

I got a x16 from BestDealUSA, and the quality is decent.
