ASICminer x24 info needed

Hello all.


   Working on a problem for a friend, he bought a bunch of x24 cards (20ish) with no BE ethernet controller (raspi can be used in its place?) I'm trying to figure out the best/fastest way to verify the cards, and get them back in production, and id also like to further my understanding of the x24 cards as a whole, iv got the firmware and schematics, tried a couple different usb uart bridges but cant get any data to move out of the i/o header, handshake?
