Hollywood is just a front. The biggest shill of them all. Do you see the amount of product placement in films? TBF or some similar org. would have to pay big to see BTC included in a film, but dont expect to see it in any serious context just yet. It hovers somewhere between the level of a punch line or a prop used by techno-villians, and thats it. Hollywood follows the lead of public opinion...they are servants to groupthink. Thats why they do focus groups and test screenings. All they want to do is appease the masses. If you think it is any different, you have been brainwashed from watching too much TV and need to go read a book.
The greatest barrier really is the audience. People are stupid and do not like to be challenged at the movies. This is why Jennifer Aniston is famous, she is innocuous to the mediocre, queen of the status quo, boring and predictable. I dont think hollywood would allow themselves to risk looking "foolish" by letting a hero touch something that is still of an uncertain future. Bitcoin is still too fringe for consevative tastes of most of the population, and therefore hollywood will never give it any credibility. Hollywood is risk adverse. Once BTC is ubiquitous and used all over, as I believe, THEN hollywood will be all over it, claiming the whole time to be an early adopter who "knew it all along" Go look at a rolling stone magazine from the 90s..."LIMP BIZKIT; The Future of ROCK!!!" ten years later "Fred Durst; Who ever even liked this douche???" what Im saying is; do not expect any sort of honesty, candour, truth or unpoplular ideas from hollywood or any of the entertainment complex for that matter. They have no soul and will never do it. Allk they want is your money, and they will play any angle thety have to to do it. Mostly that means NEVER go against the grain and never admit when you are wrong. Fools get in line and swallow it whole. Enjoy your Family Guy reruns.
