Although bitcoin's blocks are often 10 minutes apart they are sometimes 30 or more minutes apart. You say doge bocks are faster, but what's the biggest time between blocks likely to be?

Look at average confirmation time: https://bitinfocharts.com/

Look at average confirmation time: https://bitinfocharts.com/I'm more interested in the exceptions to the average, I have known bitcoin to occasionally have blocks as much as an hour apart. Does doge occasionally suffer from the same drawback?

It's a platform - you should try it. http://www.dogeparty.io/i did try it. I was part of the initial burn phase and exited at a profit already. The volume since has only decreased.

I personally don't wish to base my decisions on luck - this kind of thought pattern is counterproductive in my opinion.

Ok, if you want me to be specific, I don't see any reason for the volume to increase drastically because there is no point to dogeparty. An asset exchange? Counterparty already does that and it's not run on doge, it's run on the more stable bitcoin. You may say that dogeparty is faster, but if you want a fast, reliable asset exchange we already have nxt. Nxt is much easier to use and you can even convert btc to nxt and vice versa in a decentralized manner, there isn't anything dogeparty can do that nxt already does much better

"Dogeparty is faster, because Dogecoin is faster. 10x the speed of Bitcoin. Dogeparty is cheaper, because Dogecoin is cheaper. The transaction cost for Dogecoin is about 1/500th of the Bitcoin transaction cost." Dogecoin Security: Dogecoin reward schedule provides an incentive to keep Dogecoin secure: http://www.coindesk.com/new-study-low-bitcoin-transaction-fees-unsustainable/ Hashrate: http://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/hashrate-ltc-doge.htmlDogecoin is secure and stable. Nxt is much easier to use and you can even convert btc to nxt and vice versa in a decentralized manner, there isn't anything dogeparty can do that nxt already does much better Well I think Dogeparty is very easy to use, this is a matter of opinion. Nxt block time average of 1.5 minutes. Dogecoin: https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/confirmationtime-doge.htmlMore features will be added to Dogeparty (such as DEX and probably smart contracts). Dogeparty is very cheap to use and it used Proof of burn to issue the coins.

Fast-forward over 7.5 years later and everything promised in Dogeparty has come true! If anyone is interested in creating their own NFT on the Dogecoin blockchain for super cheap, I recommend checking out https://www.dogeparty.netand download the Dogewallet. Dogeparty was brought back to life in September of last year and has been kicking butt in the form of Rare Doges and vintage assets, some of which have sold (in wrapped form) on OpenSea for as much as 2 ETH. I'm willing to provide first-time wallet installers with 0.5 XDP, which is the XDP cost to mint a named token. Unnamed tokens can me minted for free, minus the 1 DOGE tx fees. Just PM me and I'll send it to you.
