Hey Guys, a friend of mine here in Seoul build a website www.binary-io.com It is a binary betting site at the moment  You bet if the price of btc on Bitstamp will be higher or lower in 24 hours.  Bets can be made within a 4 hour window and then a new bet begins.
Everything is automated with time lock transactions used to return the money after the 24 hours if no one bids against you or the site disappears for some reason.

Questions comments welcomed.

The site is live but just launched recently to the public.

Peace.

I suggest you read the help page.  Minimum bet is 1mBTC or 100,000 satoshis. No max.
From help page:
Quote
How are winnings calculated?

Winners get a proportion of the losing pool equal to their proportion of their bid to the winning pool. Losing bids are not returned except when there are no opposing bids. If there are no opposing bids then bids are returned. on all winnings.

If the winning pool is 2BTC and your bid is 1BTC. Then your winnings are your bid (1BTC) plus 50% of the losing pool

So if the losing pool is 1BTC. Then your return is 1BTC + 0.5BTC (50% of 1BTC) which is 1.5BTC.

You can find that info on the help page, but maybe I need to make it more clear there?
You only win if there is someone to bet against.

I see your bet, but I think it will go up, too.

Maybe for shiggles, I will bet it will go lower. Cheesy

EDIT:  I just made a bet, but don't know if it will make it before the 15 minutes remaining before the cut-off.

What happens if everyone bets the price will go higher (or lower)?
In other words, no one counterbets?

Is the determining price 24 hrs from now?

All of that information is on the site. But if there are no bets against then the btc is all returned.
Bets usually show up within a few seconds. The site doesn't wait for confirmations to display bets.

You can click past binaries to see the binary finishing time in your own timezone.

The idea is very simple and easy to use, thanks!
