Maybe someone took the latest http://what-if.xkcd.com/119 a little too literally. Grin

Long story short, even if at all possible, it's not likely to happen anytime soon: power consumption would likely be huge, targeting would be an issue, and you would basically be walking around enveloped in a cloud of steam.

Well this may be a scam, but I heard that hoverboard is real. So I guess it may be technically possible as well.

Well this may be a scam, but I heard that hoverboard is real. So I guess it may be technically possible as well.

What hoverboard? The Back to the Future style one? Smiley That one has several limitations the one in the movies didn't, but it sort of works - but how is it related to the laser shooting umbrella, considering it works in a very different way?

Anyway, it seems the indiegogo page for this has been removed.
