Author Topic: Contactcon needs a bitcoin speaker!  (Read 968 times)

May 17, 2011, 10:06:51 AM

I was contacted by one of the organisers of this conference and asked to find someone to present a talk about bitcoin.

There is the possibility to network with an impressive group of visionaries including the main organiser Douglas Rushkoff .

The conference is in New York on October 20 with registration by july 1 with a $299 fee.

I will pledge 5 btc ($40) towards the cost and will escrow the funds for whoever decides to attend so we have a month and a half to cover the rest and to find someone who is capable of attending for the day.

Escrow address (a mybitcoin account)

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

I'll do this one.  Has there been any interest in it yet?  I'm the Silicon Valley Bitcoin Meetup guy.  I'm a Toastmasters champion and have been looking for some venues for bitcoin speaking.  Can you put me in touch with them or shall I do it myself?

I would love to do this, and I am in New York. I am a Network Administrator of 20 years and a dedicated BTC  Miner and owner of a BTC related web site.

give me a call (315) 806-3512
