I'm trying to figure out how to set up an RSS feed containing bitcointalk posts of all my favorite users.

I don't know of a direct way to do this, but Google/Blogger has a service that can turn your email inbox into an RSS feed. So if I could just get bitcointalk to email me when someone on my list of favorite users posts, it'd be awesome.

How hard would it be to add this functionality to bitcointalk?

Would anyone other than me find this useful?

I would use such a feature;  there are certain members I consider "golden" and would like an easy way to read their posts.

I saw someone do it here a cpl of months back, I think it was some sort of app that would send a notification when a certain user would make a new post, I don't even remember the name of the app but I think it was made by someone to track stunna's primedice giveaway.

I would congratulate that kind of option - you can check your favourite people posts  Grin

That would be really helpful to follow some threads/users. There was one used to work but it wasn't working lately but they made a comment
yesterday that their system is back. But for sure if they embedded that feature in here it would come in handy.

Someone made a program to notify about BiPolarBob's posts, that can be adapted to other users too.

It must be somewhere in the marketplace

Running some program on your computer to get notified of posts is pretty inconvenient.

Fortunately as someone else mentioned, the original guy who wrote a service to generate RSS feeds for people's posts has fixed his service. This is now pretty much the perfect solution:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=308954.msg9578510#msg9578510

All you have to do is set up an RSS reader, and add something like "http://100btc.pl/bitcointalk/rss/users/11425" as an RSS feed, where 11425 is replaced with the bitcointalk userID of whoever you want to follow. You can find this userID by going to someone's bitcointalk profile and looking for the "u=11425" in the URL.

Moocher

Someone who always asks for things and favors constantly and will never leave you alone. They will ask for money, rides to places, for you to do simple tasks they could do easily but they think the whole world should cater to them, basically just a leech to everyone around them, a parasite to the community.

(For people who don't know "moochers")

If the person was pretty active you'd be spammed with updates so I can't see how this would work very well unless their posts were very infrequent. Probably would be easier to just check their posts every now and again.

Haha. Are you British by any chance? My Dad used to say that word all the time but I've never really heard many other people say it and I had always assumed it was some British regional slang but it seems to be taken from a middle English word via http://www.thefreedictionary.com/moocher. Cadge was another that people used and the site mentions as a synonym  Cheesy.

It's not exclusively British, it's used in many commonwealth/ex-commonwealth countries. Like 'bloody'.
