In fact I do not think that it is possible, if you use only bitcoins, paying daily your expenses. Where you can find fuel station, which work with BTC ? Also restaurants will not accept this, except just one or two.

Could be done if you knew where to go

Do you have to use bitcoins directly or could you use bitcoin to buy things like gift cards to use at stores? It could easily be done with gift cards as there are plenty of sites that let you buy them and you could get your groceries and day to day stuff that way, but otherwise very difficult.

Some things are only available for fiat payment.Probably you can go to localbitcoin and ask for some one to buy for you, you still pay him bitcoin.

You wont need to. I just read the article. It seems Brawker want you to largely use their service which is a site that attempts to let you buy anything you want with bitcoins through it.

About the Employer: Brawker is a platform that allows you to pay for everything in Bitcoin.

I think/hope that's all about paying everything with some sort of credit card that's actually bound to BTC. The "tough" part would be to do all the social media stuff.. but some are used to that and really good on that.

Doesn't sounds fishy at all Brawker is promoting for this i ever heard about them in today's episode of madbitcoins. I am sure it's hard to live only on bitcoins but not impossible you just need to reside at the right place for this and using their services makes it more easier.

You're right. It doesn't. It's not going to be given out to hundreds of people. It's essentially a promotional job as it looks like you have to blog, vlog and tweet about your experiences during it.

Think of this as a media marketing campaign guys. They will choose one with the most influential on social network (Youtuber, Tweeter...)

You can use Brawker to buy GC for most of your local stores. Heck.... i think it covers 90% of my local stores (only avoid mom and pop's shop)

if you cannot find a fuel station that accepts bitcoins. then ask to speak to th fuel station manager and talk to him about bitcoin. get them to accept bitcoin.

you really need to realise that bitcoin is not a company with a sales team that goes around businesses and gets them onboard. if you want your local station or grocery store to accept bitcoin then you need to ask your local store to accept bitcoin.

once you have got your local fuel station and grocery store to accept bitcoin, then work on your landlordand help them to understand bitcoin too..

then once you feel you can live, eat, travel via bitcoin.. then you have a chance to enter this experiment. as thats the main aim of the experiment to get more businesses accepting it and get people living off of it.

i would enter it myself but i have already done the hard work in my area and am happy living off of bitcoin. thus it is only fair to allow someone else the chance to become fully bitcoin integrated, and get a prize for doing so

WOW...you have actually done it?? I want to do that too..But i'm in a developing nation.. where its reallllly hard to explain ppl..as quite a loot of them dont even have PC at home...n if they do..no decent net connection...! Even though I stay in a City.. lol.!! Im trying to educate ppl with BTC's, starting with my parents( which didnt go very well), now spreading the word across my friends..n asking them to spread it around..! Hope BTC awareness grows n we r able to live without using fiat currencies.!

I think the most difficult part would be figuring out how to pay rent. You can most likely buy gift cards via gyft (or brawker) to cover your other living expenses.

ETA: it looks like, according to the article that you would be able to pay your rent/utilities as you normally would, and that you would need to tweet every time you pay with bitcoin and would need to be available for media interviews
