No
it depends on your country and type of business
if you are running an online gambling site that deal with bitcoin only then i think you don't need any license or registration,
I agree , it depends from where the service/business operates from. It depends on how much the service/business transmits too.

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

Currently, I don't think any of the bitcoin gambling site is licensed.
So far no legal action is taken against those sites.
And government agencies also not give it a damm.

Some have as percolation, most do not, due to the fact are using crypto only. It all comes down to location and who is also using their services and what their rules state on gambling sites. A lot of the ones I am on have restrictions in place and if can not play it will have a notice on the game that am about to play to advised it is not allowed in your area. Not many do this and ones who don't I tend to stick well away from as their not following rules and regulations for that country or state. If using USD as an example then that gambling site will need a transmitters licence for sending funds and also receiving funds depending on how much of a limit they have set per member. They can follow regulations as to how much a person can receive in fiat money if it goes over that amount then that Casino or gambling site will need a full licence.

It all depends on from which country you are going to operate your gambling sites, In US & UK it is legal, it is upto you what type of payment system you want to accept. so which country gives legal for gambling then obviously you have to take license as for any business you need license for doing business.  Smiley

No, majority of the casinos are operated without license ,its not a very big deal because the police and whatever type of cops/law and order people who handle this stuff has nothing to do with BITCOINS and yes offcourse its a problem when you try to exchange to fiat's.

Talk to Micon about that. http://www.pokernews.com/news/2015/06/seals-with-clubs-bryan-micon-pleads-guilty-22060.htm
It depends on where you live. I know for instance that I would get into trouble if I started a gambling site where I live, even with Bitcoin.

It is Correct that we need to take License to run a Gambling sites who runs in that county which have accepted bitcoin as a part of their currency and financial out flow, where Gambling also legal and they issues licenses. Then you have to take licence compulsory

Apart from that if you want to run illegally is ok until no one get noticed by your site if your business flow is low.

have seen is big confusion on this topic

Is important to understand that there can be bitcoin (and we talk about bitcoin only) at moment to be regulated in some of the countries around world

then is a ethereum, neo , dogde so on....

after that... the regulation is mostly for tax issue....

who pays tax if i have hold casino in bitcoin where country has bitcoin as money, all players or only players that is in that country?

At moment for BITCOIN casino,

if you host in a country where the bitcoin is officially considered as money, you have to check the laws....
Bitcoin has no names... could be considered 100% anonymous
All players could bet from a country that doesn't reconize bitcoin as money...
Casino could have multiple server that host it in different countries

For none bitcoin casino

Every other crypto it could be considered token or playmoney
because there is no exchange of money
no deposit with FIAT currencies
no cashout FIAT currencies
no transaction between FIAT currency or other currencies

so at moment if a casino use AZ or XY coins/token doesn't need geo license

It could have a gambling trusted agencies license for control of the right execution of the website
control that is nothing against the end user.

PS: Anyway even if i would be in Spain and I use Bitcoin + vpn... nobody could catch me Smiley

I pay great attention to the license, there are many new websites, these web sites do not have licenses but they can bet with Bitcoin, I think it is not necessary.

License doesn't mean that players are protected, it's mean that is controlled by authority, that's all,

To open a bank and a merchant account
To work with electronic payment system providers
To use gaming content from reputable, white-market providers
For more effective marketing and oftentimes better player conversion
For increased player loyalty stemming from perceived reputability of the casino

in the moment that you gonna use bitcoin... you "could" have problem in some countries as UK, USA, Russia, China.... due the bitcoin perceived as money
depends if your players play without confirming the ID.

On the other side, using an altcoin, without exchange on your website,
at moment you are not considered illegal by the governaments because the token (could be used as playmoney) so no cash...
another point for altcoin is that is not possible to pay tax in altcoin Cheesy

The only problem is in peoples trust of the gaming platform...

there need to be ambicious and serious project that make players identity and altcoin safe
