Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

You have two coins already. I think you "level up" to three after 100 posts, or straight to five with the coloured half-coin if you get in touch with theymos and donate at least BTC10 (BTC50 for VIP status with the purple half-coin). HTH.

Does Satoshi post here anymore?

He quit bitcoin development a while back, and his last post on these forums was December 10th, 2010. I'd post my proof, but my computer won't let me paste info, and I'm not going to manually enter it.

Bottom line is he's gone officially. Unofficially, he could be here secretly, as btchip has suggested.

Good to know.  I noticed that you can't simply SIT in the forums and do nothing.  I was logged out after some period of inactivity (wasn't doing that on purpose, was just doing something else at the time)

This is a great system for ranking users and moderators.
I hope to be big and rich enough someday to become a VIP.

Thx very much for the info. I'm glad the scammer posts are kept on this forum so that people know who to stay away from Cheesy

Why not simply ban a scammer? Does anyone continue posting after being branded a scammer?
