Can anyone provide some advice to getting hashing with this card? There are threads from 2012 that describe people having success with it. This is 100% for fun. I'll be giving the coins I mine away to friends to try and get them involved.

So far I've had no success installing drivers in Ubuntu. In PiMP (which doesn't support Nvidia yet) it showed up as a Radeon 3000 or something.

compute 1.1, not sure you'll find lots of algo which support that... (compute version <1.2 aren't supported anymore in cuda 6.5)

most of the algo uses commands which exist only on more recent compute versions
and to get those algo working for your cards, that would require lots of rewriting.

You could try may-be scrypt and cudaminer (but I am not 100% sure).
I know I was able to get it working somehow on my old laptop using a 9700m but the performance are pretty bad... and it was before the arrival of scrypt asic... so now... it's not worth it even for fun... would be easier to buy on an exchange

this confirms the worst hah

is there a chance i could find a pre configured distro image from that time maybe? if not just to be clear...i'd have to roll drivers back to compute 1.1 and cuda X? which cuda?
