How the heck does one send BTC using a textmessage?! I have used apps on my smartphone but never text messages.
Privkey for an address with BTC in it? This is essentially what blockchain.info wallets do. When you send bitcoin to someone via SMS they will get a text message with a link to a private key they can import into their own wallet.

You can not even compare those two mate. Bitcoin is decentralised currency and Apple get paid is centralised payment processor. Bitcoin is revolution and way better than any other option for e-payments.

Most of people know that ApplePay is just one the ways apple want to make money. Bitcoin is more secure , advanced and surpass ApplePay and other platform in everything and bitcoin is free I don't need a phone overpriced to use a useless feature !

Yes of course, both are method of payment but bitcoin is more better than applePay (due the lowest fee) because it (apple pay) is using credit card for the payment, it is simple because you are not use directly your credit card. With bitcoin, you don't have to be +18 years old, no information required to open (create) an address, no high fee (the lowest in the world), rapidity and transparency.

In the world where people are blind enough to see what is best for them we make a debates like that. And Apple fanboys/girls still chose their beloved apple even if bitcoin payment would be better in any aspect, and in fact it is. There is no discussion with people blinded by 'fashion and popular trends'.

It isn't even close to the same thing. Bitcoin could use the same NFC system. ApplePay just lets you use a linked bank account to pay using two way communication between your phone and a terminal. It's not like ApplePay is a type of money. It's just an app. The only cool unique feature it has is the ability to pay with a fingerprint.

Apple fun will always choose product from Apple only, there is no hope for them, I'm afraid. We should forget about Apple and concentrate on other ''big'' companies like Microsoft and Google and persuade them to accept BTC.

I disagree. The fact that ApplePay transactions do not expose your personal information to the payee -- note that legacy credit card transactions provide all this info to the merchant -- is a significant benefit as compared to bald credit card use.

Yeah, the security features are nice but the ability to authorize with just a fingerprint is cool. My point was it is nothing like Bitcoin because it's just another way to use the current banking system.

Well, _that_ I can agree with.

You can not compare ApplePay and Bitcoin directly, as ApplePay is only payment system and Bitcoin is currency of the future.

The disadvantage of apple pay is that you can only use it with apple devices and only apple devices. Bitcoins allow users to use it on most platforms and have lower fees.

More reason not to bother with applepay, or any other apple product for that matter Could have saved themselves a lot of hassle and used an established crypto-currency.....like bitcoin.
