Please remove domain "coinurl.com" from your blacklist. This domain is not used for creating "annoying" ad-links (for links we use "cur.lv").

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

cur.lv is an alias of coinurl.com. This works: http://coinurl.com/ml6

cur.lv is an alias of coinurl.com. This works: http://coinurl.com/ml6

coinurl.com is intended for managing accounts and shortening links. Try yourself, when you shorten links, you see result like this:
Code:
Short URL:
http//cur.lv/1

Stats, charts, QR code:
http//cur.lv/1+

cur.lv is alias for coinurl.com and it is impossible to prevent users from posting links like http://coinurl.com/ml6
But they can also shorten cur.lv links with goo.gl, e.g. http://goo.gl/Ndlgb and it will work (i.e. your block becomes ineffective)! Following this logic you should ban ALL url shorteners domains!

With your auto-replace feature, I cannot normally communicate with CoinURL customers (e.g. give them some advices relating working with the service). It creates real inconvenience for me and for the users. Please lift ban on the coinurl.com.

Adf.ly still works! (https://bitcointalk.org/annoyance.php) Why so unjust discrimination?!!!

CoinURL was the only blocked service because it was the only one that was annoying me. I'll block others as I see them. AdFly is now blocked.

cur.lv is alias for coinurl.com and it is impossible to prevent users from posting links like http://coinurl.com/ml6

It's certainly not impossible. Just look at the HTTP "Host" header and deny redirection requests when someone is using coinurl.com. I do this on Bitcoin Block Explorer to prevent search engines from indexing aliases:
http://blockexplorer.com/robots.txt
http://173.208.219.162/robots.txt

The wordfilter can be easily bypassed in many ways, which is why annoyance.php says, "If you attempt to bypass the wordfilter, your account will be banned." If the possibility of using coinurl.com instead of cur.lv was just a quirk, I would treat it as another way of bypassing the restriction and not wordfilter it. But (I believe) your service used to use only coinurl.com redirection links, so someone might try using one of these links without seeing the warning on annoyance.php.

Just look at the HTTP "Host" header and deny redirection requests when someone is using coinurl.com.
$_SERVER['HTTP_HOST'] gives the same result for "coinurl.com" and "cur.lv".
I have setup redirect using "Parked Domains" in the cPanel.

If the possibility of using coinurl.com instead of cur.lv was just a quirk, I would treat it as another way of bypassing the restriction and not wordfilter it.
As you can see on CoinURL main page, I never urge users to use coinurl.com domain for their links. You are right that using it is just bypassing of your restriction, as well as using goo.gl, bit.ly and whole bunch of other domains. I will be very grateful to you if you will remove the filter for "coinurl.com".

so someone might try using one of these links without seeing the warning on annoyance.php.
I never do this. If someone bypasses restrictions, just block him.

I once had links in my signature (based on coinURL) replaced with annoyance.php as well.I simply used googles link shortener because its very quick and shows nothing that can be deemed annoying by anyone.

What is the forum policy on link shorteners as I see no mention of this anywhere?

Why shorten them in the first place?

Why shorten them in the first place?

URLs are counted in the signature character limit. I plan to fix this and only count visible characters at some point.

In posts, people on mobile devices often like to use URL shorteners for some reason. Maybe because long URLs don't fit their screen? I'm not sure. (I've never owned a smartphone.)

URL shorteners are stripped from newbie posts.
